The holidays are upon us once again and that means soon town residents will be able to attend one of the most popular seasonal events, when the annual Windham Holiday Celebration makes its return.
The Town of Windham invites everyone to join them for an afternoon of spectacular holiday fun and cheer.
Families will gather outside the middle school at 3:30 p.m. for activities, refreshments and music and then at 4 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be picked up in North Windham by Windham Fire/Rescue, Windham Police Department and Windham Parks & Recreation and escorted to Windham Middle School for the celebration.
Between 4:30 and 6 p.m., participants will make their way into the Middle School, entering through the front door, for more holiday activities, games, door prizes and a meet-and-greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
There will not be a holiday parade this year, but participants will be able to see Windham Fire/Rescue and Windham Police escorting Santa and Mrs. Claus to the celebration.
Windham Parks & Recreation asks that in lieu of an admission fee, please bring a donation for Age Friendly Windham. Cash, new socks, new blankets or gift cards are perfect as gifts for Age Friendly Windham volunteer drivers. Go to agefriendlywindham.org for more details about this community organization.
Participants do not have to be present to win the door prizes at the holiday celebration at Windham Middle School.
No pets are allowed on school grounds, and no advance registration is required to attend the event. <
